Rebels say they killed eight government soldiers in car bomb attack

Smoke rises in a northern border town in Syria after a bomb purportedly detonates near an army barracks.

Activists say at least eight government soldiers were killed in the blast and some 15 people were injured.

Syrian state TV refutes the claim saying that four citizens were killed in the attack.

The video, which could not be independently verified by Reuters shows streets lined with rubble.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says the explosion appears to have come from a car bomb that was targeting a political security branch.
