President Asif Ali Zardari telephoned MQM Founder and Leader Mr Altaf Hussain. He regretted that the issues agreed upon between the MQM and the PPP could not be implemented due to his pressing engagements. He said that he had already directed the Sindh government to implement the agreed issued immediately. He assured Mr Hussain that he would soon intervene to solve all the issues through mutual understanding.
Mr Hussain thanked President Zardari and asked the Coordination Committee to withdraw the three-day ultimatum. He also praised President Zardari for his courageous speech in the United Nation
