Shuttle Endeavour Lands at Ellington for Overnight Stop

The space shuttle Endeavour, veteran of 25 missions into space, 299 days in orbit and almost 123 million miles of travel, made a final appearance at Ellington Field in Houston near the Johnson Space Center Sept. 19. The shuttle, bolted to the back of its 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, was en route to its post-flight home at the California Science Center in Los Angeles where it will be on permanent display to inspire future generations of young explorers.
