Egyptian protesters scale the walls of the U.S. embassy in Cairo amid outrage over what they say is a film being produced in the US that insults the Prophet Mohammad. They take down an american flag and rip it to pieces.

Some direct their anger at Egypt's President Mohamed Mursi.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) PROTESTER, ALI MURSI, SAYING:

"We are angry because you should come up with a bold statement saying that we Egyptians are condemning what happened. We should sever relations with the United States, they are not helping us."

Earlier the U.S. embassy issued a statement condemning those who hurt the religious feelings of Muslims or followers of any other religions.
