Afghan suicide attacks: Dozens killed in Nimroz and Kunduz

A typical bustling market scene quickly changed into a scene of mourning in Afghanistan. Suicide attackers targeted civilians in the south and an explosion hit the northern part of the country, their aim: market places visited by shoppers preparing for the Eid holiday. Dozens are reported dead and scores injured. In the southern province of Nimroz, suicide bombers carried out multiple attacks in the capital - at least 27 people were killed. Another explosion hit a district in Kunduz Province, killing at least 10. And in Badakshan, Taliban fighters carried out an ambush and killed a district government chief and three policemen. Al Jazeera's Jennifer Glasse has more from Kabul.
