Human Rights group Amnesty International is reporting a significant increase in the number of Syrian activists who have died in government custody.

The group says it has documented the cases of 88 people, many of them children and some as young as 13.

In a majority of cases, it is believed torture may have been the cause of death.

Al Jazeera's Omar Al-Saleh reports.
