Brazil deploys troops to border to repel crime

Thousands of soldiers have been sent to Brazil's remote Amazonian borders in a government crackdown on illegal mining, drug traffickers and smugglers.

Given Brazil's geography, it is a huge job - Brazil shares borders with 10 countries.

Al Jazeera's Gabriel Elizondo accompanied the military on a mission near the border with French Guyana.
