South Sudan deploys forces to flashpoint town

The government of South Sudan has ordered security forces into Pibor, a town that has become a battlefield for the warring Nuer and Murle tribes.

Since August, ethnic fighting over cattle raids has killed hundreds of people from both sides, and affected thousands more.

The government now faces the challenge of making sure it quells the latest escalation of violence, while also working to find a long-term solution to the fighting.

Al Jazeera's Gerald Tan reports.
