Muntazar Hassan Saad, a 29-year-old writer in Baghdad, Iraq, reflects on the effects of the attacks of September 11, 2001, on the United States, in an interview with Al Jazeera.

"I remember the incident at the time was a tragic to the peaceful nations that wants stability and seeks its freedom -- at the time I was going home walking through one of the Iraqi supermarkets then I was surprised to see on TV that the world trade centre is falling and the innocent people are dying . It was in fact a black day in the history of mankind.

The incident gave a new image to terrorism and delivered fear to the stable counties -- the United States is stable but was struck in broad light at the world trade centre. That terrorism did not except any country -- terrorism exists everywhere, if it wants to grind its teeth and target humanity so it does exist and that is a message to the nations that wants preserve stability and fight terrorism by all means."
