U.S. reverend and activist Jesse Jackson visits the Wisconsin Sikh temple where a white supremacist gunned down and killed six people last weekend.

The temple is opening its doors for the first time since the shooting, which also seriously wounded three others.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) US CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST, JESSE LOUIS JACKSON, SAYING:

"We do not want Sikh community to feel the isolation. We are part of the same family. What we can do in this hour is to share with you a lot of our concerns."

Thousands are expected to attend a public wake for the victims on Friday.

Police are still trying to determine the motive of the shooter, 40-year-old Wade Michael Page, who had links to racist groups.
