As the battle for Aleppo continues to rage, there are conflicting reports about who is controlling the strategic district of Salaheddine.
Rebels say they have regained parts of the area, after countering a sustained assault by government forces. They also claim army tanks have pulled back.
On Wednesday, Syrian media said the district had been "cleansed" of opposition fighters.
