Fresh elections called for Nepal

Nepal's prime minister has called for elections in November after leaders failed to meet a deadline to draft a new constitution.

Baburam Bhattarai says he will head up a caretaker government in the meantime, raising the prospect of months of political instability.
 
The Supreme Court dissolved the constituent assembly after politicians failed to draft the constitution before Sunday's deadline.
