Al Jazeera speaks to Abdullah al-Sadi, the former Yemeni Ambassador to the United Nations, who resigned six months ago in protest against the violent crackdown on pro-democracy protests in the country.

He is now the senior fellow at the International Peace Institute, and says that President Ali Abdullah Saleh's claim to surrender power after elections "rings hollow".
