US sees rise in demand for unmanned drones

The US military is increasing its use of unmanned aircraft in its fight against the Taliban and al-Qaeda.

In an era of budget cost-cutting, sellers of remote controlled drones argue they can save the hundreds of thousands of dollars needed to recruit and train service members.

And as more countries add drones to their arsenals, manufacturers are taking steps to satisfy the growing demand.
