Mark Lanegan starts from scratch

Usually Mark Lanegan sifts through his archive of unfinished songs to start a new record. This time he began with nothing. The end result is called Blues Funeral, Lanegan's seventh solo album. "I wrote only twelve songs and they are all on the record. That way of working was new for me", says the 47-year old American.
