Sigur Rós is an Icelandic band active since 1994. Known for its ethereal sound, frontman Jónsi Birgisson's falsetto vocals, and the use of bowed guitar,[1] the band's music is also noticeable for its incorporation of classical and minimalist aesthetic elements into their music. The band was named after Birgisson's sister Sigurrós. La tournée qui a suivi a été pensé comme étant la dernière. Par la suite, les membres du groupes ont fait savoir que s'il devait y avoir nouvel album, cela prendrait du temps.
