Ride along with a Fire Chief Motorcycle VS Child on Bicycle Accident

I was lucky one night in 2009 to be invited by the then Riverview Fire Chief to go on a ride along to a accident involving a motorcycle and a child on his bicycle, Paramedics and Firefighters checked out the boy and he was alright just shook up a bit, but the Firefighters loaded his bike into Quint 12 and gave the boy a drive home after the accident on Coverdale Road. To watch Fire Chief Doug Hamer take the boy aside calming him down was amazing to watch and then other firefighters taking the boy and his bike in the firetruck just made this kid forget about what was going on. Heard later on that the boy was in school bragging about the Firetruck ride home! Hats off to Riverview Fire going beyond the call of duty!
