A rural view of Iran's political problems

Iranians are still paying the price of violence that followed last year's disputed presidential election.

Many protesters remain in custody and some are facing execution.

Tensions still simmer throughout the big cities, but life is calmer in rural areas, where Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was re-elected after the contentious vote, has traditionally enjoyed a lot of support.
