Taliban attacks target Afghan government
Kabul has been struck by a series of deadly co-ordinated attacks, including blasts close to some of the Afghan capital's heavily secured ministry buildings

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attacks and told Al Jazeera that the presidential palace was their intended target.

As causality figures grow there are fears further attacks may be planned.

Al Jazeera's Tarek Bazley reports on the attacks and the increasing security concerns of the Afghan and international forces. (18 Jan 2010)
