Corruption delays Kabul construction project - 15 Dec 09

Afghanistan has come under increasing international pressure to tackle government corruption, seen as a major stumbling block to the country's development.

In one Kabul neighbourhood residents were promised a new road four years ago, but construction was halted, and the money given to the contractor is cannot be traced.

Al-Jazeera's Steve Chao reports from the Afghan capital.
