More than two million people were displaced by the Pakistan military's offensive in the northwest of the country.

Now the government is encouraging them to return home and is providing them with money to help rebuild their shattered lives.

Al Jazeera's Kamal Hyder joined thousands of people queuing to collect their benefits in the town of Mardan.
