Gaddafi's last stand in Sirte

Muammar Gaddafi has been killed after National Transitional Council fighters overran loyalist defences in Sirte, the toppled Libyan leader's hometown and final stronghold.
After weeks of fierce gun battles, fighters captured the city of Sirte and killed the former strongman, who reportedly died in gun battle.
Gaddafi's body was taken to a location which is being kept secret for security reasons.
