Former US president welcomes Sudan poll extension

Jimmy Carter, the former US president, is leading a team of 70 international observers to monitor the ongoing Sudan's national elections.
He is currently in Juba in southern Sudan, where he told Al Jazeera's Hoda Abdel Hamid that he welcomes the government's decision to extend the polls by two days, which he says will give everyone a chance to vote.
