Uncovering Chancellerie d’Orléans' Stored Masterpieces
World Monuments Fund - Consulate General of France
Bertrand du Vignaud, president of WMF Europe, will be presenting the WMF’s project on the rebirth of the Chancellerie d’Orléans. The Chancellerie d’Orléans was a famed Parisian hôtel particulier built in the early eighteenth century. Its exquisite interiors were dismantled and stored in the 1920s shortly before the building was demolished. In 2011, World Monuments Fund signed an agreement with the French Ministry of Culture that will result in the conservation and reassembly of the spectacular interiors in the Hôtel de Rohan-Strasbourg."
