Iraqiya leader Allawi speaks to Al Jazeera

Iraqi political leader Iyad Allawi has told Al Jazeera his Iraqiya bloc could end its month-long boycott of parliament.

But, he said that would only happen if Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's government respects the power-sharing agreement between the major forces in the country.

Iraqiya began boycotting parliament and cabinet sessions after Maliki's government issued an arrest warrant against Sunni Vice-President Tariq al-Hashemi last month, charging he ran death squads that targeted Shia officials.
