Syria: Bomb narrowly misses UN observer convoy

An explosion has hit an army truck accompanying UN ceasefire monitors in Syria's southern province of Deraa.
The head of the monitoring mission was in the convoy which had just passed when the blast occurred. No observers were injured but several Syrian soldiers were hurt.
On Tuesday, UN-Arab League mediator Kofi Annan warned his peace plan offered a last chance for Syria.
