South Africa welcomes India's President

STORY: South African President Jacob Zuma met with his Indian counterpart Pratibha Patil on Wednesday in the country's capital of Pretoria to strengthen bilateral relations.

Commercial relations between the two countries has grown over the years. The two countries have set a bilateral trade target of $14 billion to be reached by 2014.

South Africa's Department of Trade and Industry ranked India among the top 10 investing countries in the country, with investments estimated at more than $6-billion to date. South Africa's investments into India have also increased to $250million.

South Africa has the largest Indian population outside of India with 1.2 million people of Indian descent.
