CARTIER CELEBRATES THE OPENING OF A SPECIAL EXHIBITION
CARTIER & ALDO CIPULLO, NEW YORK CITY IN THE 70s

Newest Roc Nation Artist RITA ORA performs while JAY-Z & BEYONCE make surprise appearance at the Preview Afterparty in New York City

On Thursday April 12th, world renowned jewelry company CARTIER hosted a Cocktail party and preview celebrating the opening of a special exhibition commemorating the designs of Cartier in the 70s and the dynamic city that served as inspiration.

The exhibition includes the first nail bracelet originally conceived by Aldo Cipullo for Cartier New York in 1971. Daring and chic, the bracelet featured a simple nail design gracefully wrapped around the wrist. It quickly became a classic symbol of the rebellious spirit and raw energy in New York City during that era.

The Cartier special exhibition is open to the public from April 13th – May 8th at the landmark Cartier Mansion on Fifth Avenue.

The evening concluded with an after party at Skylight Studios, which was transformed into a 1970s-inspired Cartier club, featuring bordeaux velvet banquettes and gold accents. The Misshapes started the party off with a DJ set, followed by a surprise performance by up-and-coming artist, Rita Ora. Guests danced late into the evening to a DJ set by James Murphy (DFA/LCD SOUNDSYSTEM.)

Artists, designers and other influential guests included:
Daniel Benedict, Gigi Burris, Fabiola Beracasa, Charlotte Casiraghi, Lily Collins, Zani Gugelmann, Hannah Herzsprung, Yoon Eun Hye, Chanel Iman, Bade Iscil, Woo Sung Jung, Karlie Kloss, Chelsea Leyland, Arizona Muse, Lauren Remington Platt, Lou Reed & Laurie Anderson, Amy Sacco, Andrew Saffir, Sofia Sanchez, Rachel Taylor, Olivier Theyskens, Ruben & Isabel Toledo, Jason Wu.

Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles made a surprise appearance at the after party to support performer, Rita Ora, who is Roc Nation's newest artist
