Lady Gaga's warm welcome

STORY: American pop singer Lady Gaga arrived in South Korea on Friday (April 20) and was greeted by screaming fans.

Upon her arrival at Incheon International Airport, Lady Gaga, wearing a mask, was greeted by about 200 screaming South Korean fans. The pop star gave her autograph to people in the crowd waiting in the airport lobby.

Lady Gaga plans to hold a concert at Seoul's main Olympic Stadium on April 27 as the first leg of her world tour, "The Born This Way Ball Global Tour."

This is her second visit to South Korea and the concept of the concert would be Electro Metal Pop Opera, according to organizers.

The pop star's official website says she has been nominated for 10 Billboard Music Awards including Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Social Artist, and Top Pop Album.

The 2012 Billboard Music Awards are scheduled to take place on May 20.
