The Box Rockets formed in 2008 as a reaction to reading Wiki Answers' 'How To Form A Rock Band.' Hailing from Sorrento, Ivanhoe, Oakleigh and Templestowe respectively, the band travel the far reaches of central Victoria in order to follow the 15 steps outlined in Wiki. Nonetheless, they convene as often as possible to play their lean, melodic and exciting tunes, the likes of which they hope will one day afford them a beautiful inner city share house where they can cook their own burgers and save money on fuel.
Since late 2009, the Box Rockets have released the 'Throwing Stones EP' and the 'Fishes/Stay' double A side, both of which have received glowing reviews and national airplay. Currently the band continues to play a steady flow of gigs and has just release their lastest EP 'No Control'.
