The urban musings of Lee Henry and the remix fingers of Tru Menace, gave birth to 'The One' Jadan Lee.

Raised on the essential mix of Jackson, Marvin & Stevie and the wonders of his DJ Dad's record collection, Lee studied popular music at Stanmore College and it was there he was to craft his first composition. Later he explored the collective vocal harmony experience with a boy band but then realized that to graft solo was to be his way forward.

Back in 2004, Lee became the recipient of The Urban Music Award for Best Unsigned Artist. He celebrated by wowing the audience with his live rendition of the self-penned "You Know Me". Recognition finally for a boy that had excelled at sports, was distracted by the rites of passage of a troublesome youth and then as an adult was redeemed by the power of song.

UMA in hand; as Tru Menace, Lee's production pseudonym, he became a remixer for lovers of all forms of urban music. Taio Cruz, who had been a fellow student on his course, sought his creative polish. Soul inspiration Omar as well as international impresario Mark Ronson and Daniel Merriweather's 'Chainsaw' were to benefit from the Menace treatment. Further accolade was bestowed when 'Y Did You Leave' became a Number One hit with MTV Base for Tru Menace.

Treading the boards from the Jazz Café to the Shepherds Bush Empire and upwards, Lee has supported Ne-Yo and Timberland. Jadan continues to nurture his musical roots collaborating recently with Shanell, signed to Young Money in the USA and Nathan, home-grown sensation of R n' B.

Currently focusing in the studio on traditional musicians, arrangement and collaborative relationships in other genres whilst exploring "the dynamics of film music" to crossover; Jadan Lee comments on themes inspired by celebrity culture. 'Vanity Square' allows your "imagination do the rest'. 'Like Father Like Son' borne out of a domestic debate, then Jadan fuses the "real life experience with fiction". 'The One', narrates an irresistible melodic and romantic declaration.

As Jadan Lee's script evolves he has teamed up with APL at The Urban Hit Factory (who has guided Dennis Brown, Junior Delgado and Aswad) and Jeff Calvert at Whiskey Records. Antonio and Jeff's heritage dates from the halcyon days at Trojan Records. Calvert, an industry trooper, started with the inception of the legendary Morgan Studios, the pedigree of Mickey Most and the lending of his song writing skills to Sarah Brightman.
