After their triumph at the national contest the grannies toured France, Estonia and major Russian cities.

Their song "Party for Everybody" in Udmurt and English languages will now represent Russia at the Eurovision finals to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan on May 22-26.

[Zoya Dorodova, Buranovo Babushakas' Participant]:
"Not scared? Of course we are scared. We are shaking. (We are worried) if we pass, (we are worried) about the concert. It's scary. The heart is shivering."

An amateur group of village babushkas, with several over 70 years old, came on top of 24 other professional acts, including well-established Russian pop stars.

Back home the grannies returned to their daily lives, cooking dinners for their families and looking after their cows and goats.

After singing their songs for thousands of people, the grannies continue rehearsing at a local community center.

They composed the text for their song all together, making the words as simple as their daily life.

The grannies have already gained popularity in Russia and in many countries of Europe.

They believe that this time they will be lucky to win over the Eurovision audience.

[Galina Koneva, Buranovo Babushakas' Participant]:
"We want to have a longer life. They say that those who move, who sing, they live longer."

The grannies from Buranovo say their primary objective is to raise enough money to build a new church in their village.
