BROUGHT TO YOU IN ASSOCIATION WITH REBEL REV. PRODUCTIONS, THE RHYTHM BUILDING at MUSIC ROW in NASHVILLE TENNESSEE and THERECORDSHOPNASHVILLE.COM

Like most songwriters, I started writing as a kid. All I wanted to do was sing my own songs. I grew up, worked with several producers on mediocre songs and one night ended up on a J Pepe's patio drinking with my friends. They pooled together a lot of money to get the attention of the guy (Colin Boyd) playing guitar and made me sing with him. We improvised some blues and later that week landed a gig from singing at a blues jam. There it began.
We gigged, wrote some songs, made a name for ourselves as a duo.
Working at a restaurant while earning my degrees in Spanish and English, I became friends with the large staff of Hispanic immigrants, who told me of their stories and difficulties coming to America. I learned about Latin American and Mexican politics and my personal path changed. I went to Monterrey, NL, to study politics with Hispanic students and traveled the country, brainstorming for economic stimulation projects as well as focusing on the corruption.
I returned to Dallas after living the next year in Mexico and began to write in Spanish about everything from love to the Maya.
A few years later, I am finally graduated and able to put the energy and focus needed into pursuing a music career. We will see what happens.
I have found a political passion in my young adult life so far and write lyrics about government- chaotic, realistic and ideal forms. I am hopeful that my music can somehow aid me in political and humanitarian goals that I have for the future. I write a lot about my experiences in friendships, relationships and obviously life. I am an honest writer.
