INTERVIEW AND SESSION FILMED FOR BALCONY TV LONDON
PRESENTED BY IVAN BERRY

Sam's Piano was formed in October 2008 by Tessa Jackson and Ben Longman when they met whilst studying at The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon, London.
They found common influences in artists like Newton Faulkner, Jack Johnson and The Beatles, as well as jazz players such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Charlie Christian and many others.
After putting together a small repertoire of original songs and covers and performing at a couple of local open mics, they began to gig around London under the name Sam's Piano, a moniker derived from the classic 1942 film, Casablanca.
Through the use of the studio at the BRIT school, they self-produced and distributed their debut album, Where I Belong, and are currently in the post-production stage of their second, Flotsam & Jetsam.
Due to being based in both London and Amsterdam, they now do much of their work through their youtube channel.
