The versatile, classically-trained Roxy Rawson was nominated for an Indy Award in 2008, having been gigging on the London scene for years. Inspired by Regina Spektor, poetry on the tube and Wuthering Heights, she promises to hand-make a CD and post it to you if you send her a message through her myspace.
Roxy has been described as "beautifully peculiar; a sweet mix of classical notes and frenzied, catch-me-if-you-can lyrics interspersed with bursts of laughter" and "lovingly crafted, spontaneously eccentric and musically dazzling", and you can hear her in the Inspiral Lounge on the 22nd of this month as well as at the Cross Kings with David Goo on the 30th.
