A half-century from Dinesh Chandimal underpinned Sri Lanka's score before 91 from Gautam Gambhir and 58 not out from Mahendra Singh Dhoni saw India escape defeat by scoring three runs from the final ball of the game.

There was even some controversy involved as Sri Lanka's Lasith Malinga delivered a five-ball over during India's run chase. But did that really affect the game that much?
