Nigeria recaptures fugitive bomb suspect

The aftermath of a Christmas Day bombing in Nigeria that killed 37.
After escaping in January when the police vehicle carrying him came under fire, authorities recapture the main suspect Kabiru Sokoto.
Security officials refuse to say how they caught the man whose escape prompted the dismissal of the chief of police and six deputies.

"We have brought forward Kabiru Sokoto who was declared missing, I think that is enough. How we went about it is our own business. It's private to us, we operate under the need to know principle and so we won't begin to tell you our mode of operation."
President Goodluck Jonathan earlier called the escape "suspicious" and ordered the police force reorganized over fears the Islamist sect Boko Haram had infiltrated state security.
The sect claimed responsibility for the bombing that Sokoto is believed to have perpetrated.
The attack on a Catholic Church on the outskirts of Abuja was the deadliest of a series of Christmas attacks.
