Berlin Fashion Week as an Economic Driver | Made in Germany
  • 12 years ago
Twice a year, fashion circles look to Berlin for the latest styles. Fashion fairs and shows help set the trends. Industry figures and tourists come from all over the world to take part. And they bring cash to Germany's capital: added revenues of some 64 million euros. For nearly a week, once in summer and once in winter, the fashion-conscious fill the city and drop lots of cold cash - more than the average trade fair-goer does. Another side effect of the trade fairs is the pop-ups - the temporary restaurants, bars and clubs that only open for the duration of one or more event.
