Katy Perry cleaned up at the People's Choice Awards, winning five trophies, including best female music artist and favorite song for "E.T." But the singer was a no-show at the event - she pulled out of the ceremony at short notice, following her split with husband Russell Brand two weeks ago.
Also winning big was "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" - the last installment of the hit movie franchise - which won four honors, including best movie and favorite ensemble cast.
The White House got some major star power as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie visited the Oval Office to meet with U.S President Barack Obama. Photographers captured shots of both stars through windows. Reports are that Jolie met with Obama to discuss her work on preventing mass atrocities and combating sexual violence against women.
Madonna hit the red carpet in London for the premiere of her film, "W.E." The singer, who directed the film, arrived with an 11 person entourage. The film will be released in February.
Finally, Bruno Mars will hit the stage at the 54th annual Grammy Awards on February 12. The singer will join other A-listers already slated to perform including Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and Kelly Clarkson.
