Restaurant staffer arrested over chef "torture" allegations

A 26-year-old worker from a top British restaurant was detained by police after allegations chefs working there were "tortured." The arrest was made after a chef at The Star Inn in Harome, North Yorkshire, complained that he had his pants set on fire with a blowtorch, had hot pans pressed on his arm and was stung with nettles while making a soup. A second chef alleged he saw a colleague held upside down and dunked repeatedly into a vat of broccoli and stilton soup that was later served to diners. The man was later released on bail.
