Britons in Afghan weapons arrest

Two Britons are among this group of men arrested in Afghanistan for illegal possession of weapons.
The accused were brought out in front of the media with their legs chained.
And this is why the men were detained.
This stash of weapons and ammunition includes around 30 AK-47 rifles.
An Interior Minister spokesman said further investigations are underway.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) SPOKESMAN FOR AFGHAN INTERIOR MINISTRY, SEDIQ SEDIQI:
"Most of these AK-47s, the serial numbers have been removed. So we consider this a crime, a very serious crime and after primary investigations we handed them over to the attorney general office for further investigations."
Afghan police said they believe the rifles belonged to a foreign security firm in Kabul.
Private security firms are meant to be closed by March this year, but some think a police branch intended to take over their work will not be ready in time.
