The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Sun Military Awards on Monday night (December 19), alongside footballers David Beckham and Frank Lampard and model Jerry Hall.
Also known as the 'Millies', the awards are in their fourth year and honour servicemen and women for outstanding performances and contributions.
Prince William and his bride Kate - who wore a black strapless Alexander McQueen dress - chatted to nominees at a drinks reception before the ceremony at London's Imperial War Museum.

"Well I think it's a wonderful thing. I'm full of admiration for the men and women who risk their lives for our sakes and I think it's wonderful that we celebrate it, especially so close to Christmas when so many of them are away from home and family."
David Beckham attended with sons Brooklyn and Romeo.

"Obviously I was part of it last year and it was special. It's an amazing evening to honour so many brave people and it's great to bring my sons. Great for them to experience something like this, so it's special."
The judges, which included Frank Lampard said they found it difficult to choose 11 winners from all those who've served their country in conflicts.
