Founder Hugh Hefner announced this after photos leaked online.
Lohan graces its cover channeling her idol Marilyn Monroe's famed 1953 Playboy spread.
Inside - a 10-page nude pictorial and an interview with the star where she admits that "ultimately we are responsible for ourselves and our own actions."
Lohan's career suffered in recent years following arrests for drunken driving, drug possession and theft.
