Hundreds of family and friends attended a memorial service in Sydney Wednesday, to remember those killed at nursing home fire last week.
Firefighters and paramedics laid flowers and blankets on the alter at the Quakers Hill Anglican church... Teary eyed family members consoled each other.
Last Friday's fire saw a massive evacuation of elderly patients and residents from the home.
Nine people have died so far, 22 are still being treated.
Nursing home authorities say the focus now turns to rebuilding.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) NURSING HOME OPERATOR, GARY BARNIER SAYING:
"What I want to do is have a team focused on the care of the residents, their families and staff and to do a case worker type arrangement where we make sure that somebody form my organisation is connected with each of those people for the long haul, and then we have an organisation to run and people will focus on that. We have to rebuild, we have to be stronger and we will be."
Police say this man, 35-year old Roger Dean, a former employee at the home has been arrested in connection with the fire.
His next court date is set for Thursday.
