The Museum of Islamic Art is hosting the world renowned “The Dream of a King – Dresden’s Green Vault”, showcasing around 3000 masterpieces including: jewellery, objects made of amber and ivory, gemstone vessels and bronze statuettes.The history of the collection goes back to the 18th century when August the Strong, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland commissioned one of the top architects of his time to construct a special chamber to house his vast collection of precious objects.
