Karzai: No peace talks with Taliban

No peace talks with the Taliban --- this is the latest from Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
He says his government needs some way to reach the Taliban directly and to hold them accountable.
SOUNDBITE: Afghan President Hamid Karzai saying:
"We cannot keep talking to suicide bombers. Therefore we have stopped talking about talking to Taliban until we have an address for the Taliban, till we have a telephone number for the Taliban, till we have a door that we can go and knock on as the address of the Taliban."
Karzai's comments came after a summit in Turkey with Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari -- in an effort to heal a rift over the September assassination of an Afghan peace envoy.
The assassination had prompted Karzai to say there isn't a point in talking with insurgents and that it is better to deal directly with Pakistan directly.
The Afghan government has long acused Pakistan of supporting the Taliban and has suggested that the person who killed the Afghanistan Peace envoy came from Quetta.
