Tips on Matching Clothes for a Night Out (Closet Organization) - as part of the Women's Style series by GeoBeats. Let us look at a few things you can wear on a night out on the town. It is different than what you should be wearing to work, and during the day, for the most part. That is the time that you can go out there, and sparkle and shine. Have a good time. This is the time to wear the sleeveless and the sparkles, and, you know, a little bit shorter. If you want a little bit tighter fitting, if that is a good look for you. So I am going to show you a few things that really will work for a night out. For instance, alright, this is a yes and a no. This really is not a night out dress. This is summertime, around the pool, running errands. This is not what I consider a going out dress. This is a classic cocktail dress, and I think all women should have at least 2 of them in their closet. And you do not have to just keep a black dress. You know, black is fine, but if you look better in navy, or chocolate brown, or charcoal grey, then go for it. You know, have another dark neutral color. So this would be your going out dress to wear, your evening. Also, on these 2 dresses, a little bit more tailored for an evening if you are going, maybe something right after work, where it is more of a work oriented. This would be a far better choice, because it is got a little sparkle and shine. But it is still tailored, and it is still fine for being with the boys, or whatever, you know, from the office. So this would be much better when you are with your colleagues from the office. You do not want to go too va-va-voomy. Whereas this would be too much of a work oriented look. So you might want to opt for something like this. It is tailored, but it does have an air of evening about it, because of the shine. Another thing you want to make sure you do, is, if you are wearing sleeveless. Well, as most ladies, we get a little chilly at night. So, and if we have their arms, what are we to do? What are we to match up? This, again, would be a little bit too much of a daytime cardigan look. You might want to opt for something like this. Just a nice flat knit, and it is got a little bit of a sparkle button. And here is a little trick. If you find one of these cardigans that really fit you well, and you like the silhouette, and it just has plain buttons on, go to your local fabric store, and switch out for some rhinestone buttons. That instantly gives it a little evening pizazz. Last, but not least, if you are going out, and you want to have a few things in your closet, you know, opt for a few shiny pieces, that you can add with something that is not shiny. You want to keep just 1 element of shine. So, for instance, I would want to do a top like this, perhaps, with a skirt like this. But with adding a jacket of all sequins might be a little over the top. So that is where I might want to add something a little simpler, like the cardigan, so it is not too much sparkle. You do not want to burst into flames, you just want to have a little sparkle. Another thing you want to make sure you have is a good evening bag. You do not want to take your day bag out in the evening. It just is going to kill your look. So at least have 1 evening bag, a little sparkly, that will go with all your evening outfits. And there is a difference between shoes too. This is really a daytime shoe. This is an evening shoe. You know, make sure that your shoes correlate with what you are wearing. You are wearing an evening outfit, you need an evening shoe. You need evening accessories. So make sure you invest in a good evening shoe. So those are my tips on how to match your wardrobe to an evening out.
