For many Belarus opposition activists, Lithuania is an oasis of freedom. After a harrowing escape, journalist Natalya Radzina has requested political asylum in Vilnius.Natalya Radzina was arrested after she protested the disputed reelection of President Alexander Lukashenko. En route to a KGB interrogation, she fled to Russia. After she obtained UN refugee status, Russian human rights activists helped her leave the country. She's now living in Vilnius, where an opposition group centering around a Belarus university in exile has formed. Meanwhile, in Belarus the"last dictator"of Europe is trying to crush all opposition.
