A planned strike by air traffic controllers in Germany has been averted after the employers, the DFS, agreed to mediation. The move came late on Monday night after a court in Frankfurt rejected an appeal by the DFS thus allowing the stoppage to go ahead. It means there will be no strike for at least four weeks.
