Dozens Killed in East China Train Crash

Two high-speed trains have crashed in east China. Dozens were killed and over two hundred injured. It's China's worst train disaster since 2008.
First lightning struck a bullet train, causing it to lose power and stall. Then another high-speed train crashed into the first one on Saturday.
The accident occurred on a bridge near Wenzhou in east China's Zhejiang Province. At least 35 have been killed and 210 injured.
Chinese state-run media is reporting that two foreigners are among the dead, but no details were immediately available on them.
Rescuers said they were still searching for survivors and trying to clear debris from the railway.
[Wang Jun, Rescue Worker]:
"Right now, we still don't know whether there are any more survivors. Those are our main tasks now. We are also working to get the railway line operational again."
Thirty-two-year-old survivor Yin Caohui recalled the moments of the crash.
[Yin Caohui, Crash Survivor]:
"Suddenly, there was a loud bang. After that, the train stopped. It was dark and we couldn't see anything. Then there were more loud sounds. At first, I wasn't scared because I thought it was a minor accident like when cars scrape each other. After I got out, I realized just how scary it was."
Rail remains the most popular method of transport. China's trains are usually extremely crowded, with long-distance trains carrying as many as 1,000 passengers.
